Body composition testing

A waist circumference measurement will tell if the patient’s waistline is greater than the hip measurement. BIA (bioelectrical impedance analysis) measures the patient’s body fat percentage with a body fat scale. It runs small currents of electricity through the body to test for resistance. A higher level of resistance means more body fat.
